“What excites me most about leadership in higher education is the opportunity to align mission, strategy, and people in meaningful and sustainable ways.”

I am an academic leader, developmental psychologist, and Professor of Psychology whose work centers on strategic planning, academic administration, faculty development, institutional effectiveness, and organizational change.

As Interim Dean of the School of Social Sciences, Communication, and Humanities at Endicott College, I lead a multidisciplinary School serving approximately 600 undergraduate students across nine academic areas, an emerging graduate portfolio, and a community of full-time and part-time faculty. After serving as Associate Dean from 2021 to 2026, I stepped into the Interim Dean role with a focus on strengthening the systems, culture, and relationships that allow a complex academic organization to thrive.

My leadership philosophy centers on building fair and clear systems, creating intentional spaces for collaboration, and fostering trust through care, consistency, transparency, and follow-through. I believe effective leadership is not about one person carrying every initiative. It is about creating the structures, shared expectations, and relationships that enable people to do their best work together.

Much of my leadership has focused on translating broad institutional priorities into sustainable practice. My work has included strengthening advising and retention systems, supporting faculty recruitment and development, advancing undergraduate and graduate program strategy, improving academic operations and communication, stewarding resources, cultivating external partnerships, and building a stronger sense of identity and community within the School. I am especially interested in the intersection of organizational culture and systems: how thoughtful structures can create greater clarity, accountability, and opportunity for innovation.

At the institutional level, I serve as the inaugural Administrative Fellow in Endicott’s Provost Office and Co-Chair of the College’s 2027 NECHE comprehensive self-study. Coordinating this institution-wide process has deepened my commitment to using evidence, reflection, and collaborative inquiry to identify gaps, document growth, and advance continuous improvement. I also serve as a NECHE peer evaluator.

My own leadership development includes the completion of the HERS Leadership Institute and selection as a 2026-2027 Fellow of the American Conference of Academic Deans (ACAD). I currently serve on the Board of the ACE Women’s Network Massachusetts, where we advance opportunities and networks for women in higher education leadership.

I welcome opportunities to connect with colleagues who are interested in thoughtful leadership, institutional growth, organizational change, and the future of higher education.
